Moss build up is unsightly and can affect the lifespan of your roof. It mainly accumulates at the vertical joins and along the front edges of tiles. This can encourage water between and underneath the tiles. Moss can also hold up to 30 times its own weight in water and can stop sunlight penetrating the roof and helping to insulate your home. We first remove 90% of the moss by gently scraping it away before applying a specialist treatment to remove any remaining fragments and kill off any lichen, algae and biofilm present on the roof. The treatment lasts for several years begins to work within hours bit can take months for the full effects to show. We do this from a scaffold tower using bespoke tools which is much safer for us and your roof and keeps us fully insured. - Initial survey to assess any underlying issues - Free gutter clear at time of roof clean - Free return visit after 3 months to ensure treatment is working - All moss bagged up and removed from site - No pressure washing means we dont force water under the tiles or remove the coating - Our work causes no damage to the roof.
